The club was established in January 2006 as a non-profit, non-religious, non-political entity, run by it's members on a voluntary basis.

 

 

In the Northwest of Switzerland the club aims:

 

- to provide a focal point for Irish people, their families, friends and those interested in Ireland

 

- to promote Irish social and cultural activities and events

 

- to promote a broader understanding of Ireland and things Irish in the region.

The next BIC night will take place on 7th June at 19:00 in Zur Maegd (www.zurmaegd.ch).

BIC nights are informal ‘get-togethers’ at 19:00 on the 1st Thursday of every month in a pub, bar or restaurant where members can have a chat, get to know each other and organize forthcoming events if necessary. Come along and enjoy! 12th of May in Zurich the Second Round of the European Hurling Championship takes place in Sporthalle Bucholz, Hallenbadweg 7, 8610 Uster, Switzerland. Please contact secretary.stgallen.europe@gaa.ie if you require any info.

 

16th – 17th June a special sean nós dance workshop with Maire Aine. It promises to be great fun - apparently it may be the only place on the continent where you can learn this old style dancing with 'fire in the feet'! See attachment.
